SGS ComfortSky: the Most Innovative Glazing Roof

By Saint-Gobain Sekurit

SGS ComfortSky is a laminated glazing roof that keeps the cabin cool in the summer, and warm in the winter.

The effectiveness of the SGS ComfortSky is due to a functional layer on the glass that blocks the energy exchange between the outside and the inside.

Furthermore, the roof module is 6 to 8 kg lighter than standard modules. However, the glass surface is bigger because there are fewer components. As a consequence, more light enters the car and visibility is increased.

An Innovative Glazing Configuration That:

  • Blocks the energy transmission, meaning that the car does not heat up in summer and keeps warm in winter
  • Provides thermal comfort all year round
  • Reduces the A/C consumption
  • Allows removing the roof blind and thus contributes to weight reduction
