ABR Staff Writer Published 14 April 2016

TI Automotive, a supplier of automotive fluid systems technology, starts its new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico.

The new, 53,000 square-foot facility will produce fluid carrying systems for the new Hyundai/ Kia manufacturing facility located nearby.

TI Automotive is expected to employ around 100 people at full production expected in May 2016.

The new facility is a key additional site for TI Automotive's global Fluid Carrying Systems (FCS) Division and will produce brake and fuel bundles, brake line assemblies and clutch lines with flared tubes.

In addition, the facility will be equipped to produce engine line products including water, oil and vacuum tubes, transmission lines and exhaust gas reduction (EGR) pipes.

TI Automotive chairman, CEO and president Bill Kozyra said: "Mexico is a growing automotive market for our customers and this new facility supports our global growth strategy of going where our customers need us.

"We have enjoyed a great partnership with Hyundai/ Kia all over the world for many years and we look forward to mutual continued success here in Monterrey."

TI Automotive currently has nine production facilities in Mexico. They are located in Mexico City, Puebla, Reynosa and San Luis Potosi.
