Tesla Motors To Open New Centers, Seeks European Foray

ABR Staff Writer Published 08 June 2009

California-based Tesla Motors is all set to open seven new regional sales and service centers, creating a coast-to-coast network in North America.

Tesla will open centers in New York, Seattle and Chicago in late June, followed by Miami. The new additions would complement its stores in Northern and Southern California. The company is also exploring locations in Washington DC and Toronto.

Elon Musk, CEO, Tesla said: “We are rethinking almost every aspect of the automobile – from the powertrain to the customer experience, both online and in our stores.”

The company also seeks to establish a strong retail footprint in Europe. Its first European store would open in London later this month, followed by Munich and Monaco.

Tesla Motors is engaged in the manufacture of electric vehicles as per the North American and European safety, environmental and durability standards.
