Sypris To Provide Transmission Components For Eaton

Sypris Technologies, a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, has won a new multi-year contract with Eaton's vehicle group to provide transmission components for its commercial vehicle transmission business. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Sypris Technologies is a manufacturer and supplier of drive train and other components for commercial vehicle, automotive, recreational vehicle, mining, agriculture and energy markets.

Paul Larochelle, president of Sypris Technologies, said: “We are pleased to add Eaton Corporation to our growing list of strategic customers. We will utilize our advanced manufacturing capabilities and process systems to insure the quality, reliability and extended life required of these components are met for Eaton’s commercial vehicle transmissions.”

Sypris Solutions is a provider of technology-based outsourced services and specialty products. It performs a range of manufacturing and technical services, under multi-year, sole-source contracts with corporations and government agencies in the markets for aerospace and defense electronics and truck components and assemblies.
