ABR Staff Writer Published 30 August 2010

Spartan Motors Chassis will unveil its cutting-edge line of 2010 emergency-response cabs and chassis at the Fire-Rescue International (FRI) Conference and Exhibition in Chicago.

Headlining in the Spartan exhibit will be the Gladiator Classic integrated with engine performance of a 600 horsepower 2010 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified Cummins ISX diesel engine.

Spartan Motors president and CEO John Sztykiel said that the company had previously announced approval of Cummins 2010 EPA certified ISC and ISL diesel engines earlier this month.

Garnering approval of the powerful 2010 ISX diesel engine allows us to satisfy the wide range of performance needs and expectations we receive every day from our customers around the world, Sztykiel said.

The Gladiator will be accompanied in the Spartan exhibit by the Metro Star and Furion models, the new line-up features redesigned cooling systems and multiple exhaust configurations, as well as horizontal wipers and 24 exterior grab handles.
