The city gets plugged-in with seven charging stations for electric vehicles and plans 200 additional stations in the next two years
Coulomb Technologies has announced that the County of Sonoma, US, has become the fourth Bay Area location to install their ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles.
The seven charging stations are now installed throughout the County and will be used for fleet and consumer use. Along with several regional partners, Sonoma County has applied for grant funding to install up to 200 additional stations in the next two years.
Coulomb’s charging stations are available to the public during the day, and will be used to charge county fleet vehicles overnight.
Richard Lowenthal, CEO of Coulomb Technologies, said: "It’s no secret that the County of Sonoma is a model in the United States for the greening of fleet vehicles. Having anticipated the County’s need for an EV charging infrastructure, Coulomb worked with the County over the past nine months on fleet features for our networked charging stations. We thank the County of Sonoma for their collaboration and for making stations easily available to anyone that needs charging."
Coulomb Technologies has developed the charging stations for municipalities, utilities, green office buildings and parking garages to allow consumers to charge their electric vehicles.
