Renault is all set to introduce a new model under its light commercial vehicle line-up by April 2010. The new Kangoo Express Maxi will be assembled at the MCA Maubeuge plant, in France. It is around 39cm longer than the previous van, Renault Kangoo Express.
The new model offers a low consumption diesel engine with low CO2 emissions. It includes a 1.5 dCi 85 powerplant with an average fuel consumption of 5.3 litres/100km and less than 6 litres/100km on the urban cycle. The vehicle is offered in a two-seater and a five-seater model.
The two-seater version offers a load volume of 4.6m3 and a payload of 800kg and a maximum load length at floor level of 2.9 metres. The new version has an additional cubic metre of load volume as compared to Kangoo Express.
The Kangoo Express Maxi 'Cabine Approfondie', a five-seater version, offers a load length at floor level of 1.43 metres and a load volume of 3.6m3, with payload of 740kg.
The five-seater version of Maxi Crew Van offers a load length at floor level of 1.33 metres and payload of 740kg. It can be configured in four different permutations due to its 60/40-split folding rear seat and also is fitted with either a cargo securing net or a fixed wire mesh bulkhead.
In addition, the Kangoo Express Maxi can also be deployed with Carminat TomTom navigation system, thus helping users with optimized route selection.
