Porsche Develops New 911 Turbo S

Porsche has come up with a new sports car, the 911 Turbo S. The new model will be at the dealership as both a Coupé and Cabriolet, as of May 2010.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo S features a six-cylinder boxer supported by two exhaust gas turbochargers with variable turbine geometry, with an increase in power over the 911 Turbo by 30 to 530 bhp (390 kW). The maximum torque is 700 Newton-metres (516 lb-ft).
The company said that despite its increase in power and performance, the new 911 Turbo S, at 11.4 litres/100 kilometres (equal to 24.8 mpg imp), does not consume more fuel than Porsche 911 Turbo.
The 911 Turbo S comes with seven-speed Porsche-Doppel-kupplungsgetriebe (PDK) (Double-Clutch Gearbox) conveying drive power to porsche traction management (PTM) all-wheel drive. The safety feature is ensured by engine mounts and Porsche torque vectoring (PTV), including a mechanical differential lock on the rear axle.
According to Porsche, in conjunction with launch control on Sport Chrono package Turbo like-wise featured as standard, 911 Turbo S accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds. The top speed of this model is 315 km/h or 195 mph.
In addition, 911 Turbo S also features bending lights, 19-inch wheels in RS Spyder design with central locking, a three-spoke steering wheel with gearshift paddles, adaptive seats, cruise control, a CD/DVD changer and a twin-tone leather upholstery in Black/Crema or Black/Titanium Blue.
The German market price of Turbo S Coupé is E173,241 including 19% value-added tax and local equipment in market (the Euro base price is E145,400). The Cabriolet retails in German market at E184.546, including 19% VAT and local equipment/specifications (base price E154,900).
