Nelson Global Products sells Morton manufacturing facilities

Nelson Global Products has sold their Morton, Illinois manufacturing facilities to Morton Industries Holdings with effect from April 19, 2016. The sale was effective immediately.

Nelson Global Products CEO Sergio Carvalho said: "This sale allows Nelson Global Products to place greater emphasis and resources on products that are a critical part of our growth strategy.

"The new owners are a locally based management team who have years of experience in the industry. Nelson Global Products will also hold a portion of equity in the business along with the new owners and together it will be a strong strategic partnership."

Nelson Global Products is a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Chicago, IL. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Nelson Global Products acquired Morton Industries LLC and Bradley Services Inc. (BSI) in August 2011.

Morton Industries, founded in 1946, has a long history in Morton, Illinois and provides customers with high quality tube fabrications and assemblies for customers such as Caterpillar and John Deere & Co.
