Traffic information, supplying real-time traffic data is sourced from CCTTN

Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network (CCTTN) has announced that Mazda would offer the company’s traffic service on its CX-9 SUV, beginning with the 2010 model year.

CCTTN is a source of current traffic information, supplying real-time traffic data to millions of people each week. Reportedly, Mazda is the fourth automaker to announce adoption of Clear Channel’s traffic service following BMW, MINI and Volvo.

Jeff Littlejohn, EVP of distribution development at Clear Channel Radio, said: Mazda is known for its vehicles that provide high level safety performance, as well as driver enjoyment. Now, drivers of the latest CX-9 models will know they are also receiving the highest-quality traffic information. Our subscriber base continues to grow and this partnership confirms that leading automotive manufactures like Mazda are fulfilling drivers’ needs for reliable traffic information.

Tim Barnes, director of product planning at Mazda North American, said: The nation’s roadways have become increasingly complex and the vast number of cars on the road today can create a challenging environment for drivers. By providing leading traffic information, we will be able to provide drivers with accurate data that will help them navigate safely.
