Honda to launch Jazz Hybrid in Malaysia in 2012

Japanese automaker Honda is planning to launch the new five-door Jazz Hybrid in Malaysia during the first quarter of 2012.

The new Jazz Hybrid will be powered by an 88 PS and 121 Nm 1.3litre SOHC i-VTEC engine and is supported by a new generation Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system to develop 14 PS and 78Nm torque.

The new Hybrid will also be equippped with a 0.6 kWh Ni-MH battery pack.

The hybrid comes with revised headlamps, a new front grille, reworked front and rear bumpers, and also a new tail lamp cluster.

The company has officially not revealed the price tag, but according to reports the Jazz Hybrid is expected to be priced under MYR100,000 ($32,867).
