These additions set to enhance life and disability insurance lineup

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has announced that its group life and disability plans will now include WillPrep Services and TravelAid.

Guardian has said that its WillPrep Services give plan members access to online planning documents and professional assistance with issues related to advanced healthcare directives, estate taxes, financial and healthcare power of attorney, guardianship and conservatorship, trusts and wills.

For employers who need to assist employees who travel overseas, Guardian has introduced TravelAid, an emergency response network of global resources that can provide 24/7 multilingual emergency response, medical evacuation and repatriation, travel alerts and destination information, pre-travel immunization information and document replacement services. TravelAid is available to Guardian's employer-sponsored group life and disability plan members.

Barry Petruzzi, second vice president of group life and disability for Guardian, said: "These latest additions enhance our life and disability insurance lineup on the employer and employee-paid front, bringing a wider array of options to plans at flexible price points that will help employers address the needs of a diverse workforce.

"We're committed to narrowing the benefits gap between large and small companies by bringing small business owners features typically available only to larger organizations. And while the current economic climate has many employers considering scaling back on employee benefits, Guardian is helping business owners put protection back in focus."
