General Dynamics Bags $41m Order For RG-31 MRAP Spare Parts

General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada has bagged a $41.5m delivery order modification for spare parts in support of RG-31 Mk5E vehicles under the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle program from US Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC).

According to General Dynamics, the parts will be used to support vehicles that are being manufactured under a delivery order awarded to General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada in February, for 250 RG-31 Mk5E vehicles for the MRAP program. In total, 1,652 RG-31 vehicles have been ordered under the MRAP program.

The contract was signed through the Canadian Commercial Corporation, a Crown Agency of the Canadian Government.

General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada, is a business unit of General Dynamics Land Systems of Sterling Heights, Michigan. For over 30 years, more than 2000 employees have designed, manufactured, delivered and supported to global customers a family of light armoured vehicles (LAV).
