EPS Group Partners Mekonomen To Establish Mekonomen Medium Unit

EPS Gruppen (EPS Group) and Mekonomen have reached an agreement on establishing a Mekonomen Medium unit in Kiruna, Sweden, uniting a store and a Mekonomen Bilverkstad/workshop. The partnership is expected to lead to further growth in the service market for cars and transport vehicles.
Per Eriksson, President and CEO of EPS Gruppen, said: "We consider the Mekonomen concept to be very interesting for us and we see that this collaboration will develop our offering and enable a further expansion of our business."
Håkan Lundstedt, President and CEO of Mekonomen, said: "We are very satisfied with collaborating with one of the most successful Volvo dealerships in Sweden, which will facilitate an even stronger offering to our customers."
The companies aim to begin the collaboration during the autumn of 2009, and intends to enhance it further with another Mekonomen Medium unit, in Gällivare, during 2010. The units would operate in a subsidiary, wholly-owned by EPS Gruppen.
EPS Group runs dealership for Volvo, Ford and Renault. The business includes sales and service of cars, transport vehicles, and buses.
