ClimaCab, Webasto Collaborate To Offer Climate Control Solution For Trucks
Following the partnership, Webasto heater is integrated into ClimaCab electric air conditioning system
ClimaCab and Webasto have partnered to offer a climate control solution for heavy duty trucks. The collaboration offers an engine-off solution that would save fuel and reduce noxious emissions.
Jay Parr, general manager, ClimaCab, said: It is our goal to provide customers with the most efficient, highest value and cleanest solution on the market, and adding a Webasto heater to our system is a no brainer.
Webasto's Air Top 2000 ST heater and ClimaCab, Glacier Bay’s electric air conditioning system, are fully integrated into one seamless package that could provide truck operators and fleets with an optimum sleeper cab environment year-round, independent of idling the truck’s engine.
Webasto would start supplying the Air Top 2000 ST to Glacier Bay in the summer of 2009.
Headquartered in Stockdorf, Germany, Webasto is an automotive supplier and it develops and produces convertible roof and body systems as well as heating, cooling and ventilation systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. On the other hand, ClimaCab is a registered trademark of Glacier Bay, a provider of energy technologies.
