Balqon to supply electric drive systems for DynaProTech

ABR Staff Writer Published 29 August 2010

Balqon, a developer and manufacturer of zero emissions, heavy-duty electric vehicles and drive systems, has signed a new $490,000 agreement with DynaProTech to supply electric drive systems.

As per the agreement, DynaProTech plans to integrate Balqon's zero-emissions electric drive systems into electric buses, heavy-duty trucks, light commercial vehicles and automobiles for use throughout China.

DynaProTech, an automotive parts manufacturer in the People's Republic of China, will also provide servicing and parts for Balqon's products throughout China.

Balqon president and CEO Balwinder Samra said that the agreement with DynaProTech is a continuation of the company's localization strategy to have its drive systems integrated into products manufactured by regional original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

“In addition, we believe that our relationship with DynaProTech will also allow us to showcase our flux vector motor controllers and battery management systems to manufacturers of electric buses, trucks and automobiles in China,” Samra said.
