Audi To Launch New A7 Sportback

Audi is set to launch new A7 Sportback, a five-door coupe powered with 3.0 TDI with 150 kW and multitronic for reduced CO2 emissions, in the fall 2010 at a base price of EUR51,600.

The new A7 Sportback features an automatic transmission and adaptive cruise control with stop and go function. It offers 535-liter (18.89 cu ft) capacity swelling to a volume of 1,390 liters (49.09 cu ft) with rear seat backrests folded down. The interior noise level is reduced, with V6 engines providing refined acoustic feedback as their power unfolds.

According to Audi, the A7 is 4.97m (16.31ft) long and 1.91m (6.27ft) wide, and 1.42m (4.66ft) high. It also features a long hood, short front overhang, long wheelbase, flowing C-pillars and a dropping rear. It also offers enhanced MMI operating system with central menu button.

In addition, the chassis in A7 features aluminum control arms and a new power steering system with an electromechanical drive for high efficiency.

The Audi drive select dynamics system is standard and can be supplemented by the optional adaptive air suspension with controlled damping.

The Audi A7 also has a reduced combined fuel consumption of 6.0-8.2 l/100 km and combined CO2 emissions of 158-190 g/km.
