Advance Auto Parts Names New COO

Advance Auto Parts, an automotive aftermarket retailer of parts, batteries, accessories and maintenance items, has appointed Paul Raines as the new chief operating officer of GameStop. Mr Raines, who has been elected to the Board of Directors, has also been appointed to serve on the Board's Finance Committee.

Mr Raines has served in his current role at GameStop since September 2008. Previously, he served as the EVP, US Stores for Home Depot, from April 2007 to August 2008.

Prior to that, he served in various management roles with Home Depot including president of Southern Division from February 2005 to April 2007, vice president of Florida from April 2003 through January 2005, vice president of Store Operations from January 2002 through April 2003 and as director of Labor Management from January 2000 through January 2002.
