Advance Auto Appoints New VP Of Commercial Operations Excellence

Responsible for supporting the execution of commercial value proposition for the company's stores
Advance Auto Parts has appointed David Nitzel as the new vice president of commercial operations excellence.
Mr Nitzel will be responsible for supporting the execution of the company’s commercial value proposition for the stores and will partner closely with the commercial sales effectiveness team, e-Commerce, field leadership and operations support. He will report to Tami Kozikowski, chief development officer, and will be based in Roanoke, Virginia.
Mr Kozikowski, said: “I am thrilled to have David joining our team. In his previous role, he was responsible for all aspects of vertical market activity, new business implementations, two customer call centers and brand management channels. David’s background in logistics and commercial customer service will be strong assets to Advance as we develop this new area of our operations.”
Mr Nitzel joins Advance from Velocity Express, a fulfillment services company specializing in same-day delivery solutions, where he served from 2004 until present. Most recently ha has served as division president of operations. Prior to this position, Mr Nitzel served as VP of the office products division.
